somebody system my four sons did my five nephews did when I came in I was a little just on 8th grade from a small Rock Hill School it was really quite overwhelming to come to San Jose at first so the first year was an adjustment for me but I had lots of help in 1985 unlike today there weren't are public school kids back in St Joseph and so I was definitely out of my element when I came here but you know I can't even I went to the open house and I tried it and the rest is history my dad wants turn to Cairo actually so is it Coronas Ami Bera but I just think you know what I came here and it just kind of felt like home and I would kind of sounds can a little cliche ish but I think it was the right opportunity for me that age in the ennard 13 or 14 you just don't know a lot but you think you know a lot by the time you're so teener 18 and making College decisions and more important life decisions actually do know some things and saying shows I think there's a great job of letting you know what's important what's kind of background noise to tune out and what to focus on is a young man I think the st. Joe's values are not extremely complicated as good as your word your actions will speak for themselves if you wanted to do what's right by other people as soon as very basic tenants and seeing how they're played out across San Jose alone San Jose students to tell me what year the same as values are it creates a situation where they say all of your opinions are valued all of your skills are valued everybody has different song and as you boost people up instead of knocking them down the Bastin them comes out the skills that I bring to the job everyday are really something that I acquired along the way I think if you have that work I think that I learned from Jim Dior Jim Rohn if you have that you'll figure the rest out I remember 7 a.m. review classes with mr. color and initially I had a hard time with the AP classes and Mr Rowan color and push me two kind of face that challenge and overcome also not play basketball mr. Lennon I think everybody knows no one would describe him as a Caspar milquetoast they pushed us to be the best we could be four years one day I'll sit at the school to help me was big Hannibal for all my actions no matter what that was in the classroom on a cord and life I think one of the biggest things that helped me become the man I am today and having to take on responsibilities you know in all aspects of life for me I didn't realize how much San Jose indifference until I went to college I was a quiet kid in high school I didn't really talk much I had a good group of friends but I really wasn't that confident and then I got to college and all of a sudden I realize how prepared I was you know what I think about Saint Joseph the place seems to work I mean I talk about myself here we are 52 years since I've been out and we still get together cuz these people are my friends my sons get together with their classmates cuz they are the friends you want to go through life with good friends that you can go back to I don't know what the formula is but people come here and they remain friends and that's a good thing that's a good thing so when I babysit my grandson Liam who soon-to-be pictures all I drive him behind st. Joe's and I look at him and he goes Grandpa what are we doing and I said you see that building over there Liam and he goes yeah and I said that's where you're going to high school and he looks at me with that Blank Stare and I always say Grandpa's not kidding Lee that's where you going to high school
