Join the Tradition: Help St. Joe’s Make a Difference This Holiday Season!

This year will mark the 54th anniversary of the St. Joe’s Food Basket. St. Joe's students have collected and delivered truckloads of nonperishable food items and paper products to the Warming House, St. Bonaventure University’s soup kitchen for decades. The Warming House is believed to be the oldest student-run soup kitchen in the nation.

Food Basket will begin collecting non-perishable items on Monday, December 2, from 7:15 - 8 a.m. in the Brotherhood Commons and every morning up until Christmas break, Friday, December 20.

Each week, the homeroom that brings in the most items will win Paula's donuts for their homeroom.

If your son brings in the “item of the day,” it is worth double points for your homeroom.  The first week’s “items of the day” are:

  • Monday: Coffee
  • Tuesday: Pasta and Pasta Sauce
  • Wednesday: Soup
  • Thursday: Potato Products
  • Friday: Fruit
