Community Time Brings Students Together in New Ways

One of the new additions to our schedule this year is weekly Community Time - a time designed as a break from our academic program to focus on strengthening the school culture while providing growth opportunities for our students.

Throughout the year, Community Time will be a time for students to pray together, to learn about servant leadership, to focus on topics related to our mental health, to become more aware of issues in our community and world, to hear career-focused presentations from our vast alumni network, and to build a stronger sense of camaraderie within each grade level.

Already this year, Community Time has been used for:

  • School masses and grade level prayer services
  • Fall pep rally
  • Student presentation from leaders in our Equity & Justice Club
  • Mental health program lead by Mental Health Advocates of WNY
  • College panel with admissions reps from regional colleges
  • Career growth opportunities presentation led by two of our young alums
  • Panel discussion about faithful citizenship
  • Two intense class dodgeball tournaments

If you know of a program, speaker or topic that may be worth exploring for Community Time, please reach out to me via email at [email protected].

Thank you,
