Man of the Year

Father/Son Communion Mass & Breakfast and the St. Joe's Man of the Year

The St. Joe's Man of the Year honor is given annually to a person who has demonstrated a commitment to St. Joe's over the years, and their involvement must be indicative of service to the school and to the larger St. Joe's community. About the 2017 Man of the Year:

James J. Panepinto '87 is a longstanding member of the Board of Trustees.  He serves on the Executive Committee of the the Board, the Technology Committee, and has been chairman of the Facilities Committee for the last several years.  As President of Pinto Construction, Jim has been instrumental in many of the renovations that have taken place at St. Joe's over the last several years.  In the past year alone, he has been instrumental in the installation of the signage and brick wall at the the entrance off Fayette, and the "SJ" logo on the gym wall at the entrance off Hartford.  He was a driving force in the installation of the statue of St. La Salle, the gym renovation and library renovation this past summer, and drinking water testing in all of the school's water fountains.  Jim continues ongoing work for SJCI along Kenmore Avenue, with the already completed asbestos abatement and demolition of the Cassetta property, creation of a new parking area in its place, and the continued renovations and rehab of the Becker building into the new St. Joe's Innovation Center.  Without his guidance and assistance, these could not have happened.  Jim seeks to help St. Joe's simply because he wants to help.  He is a man of great humility in his work, and never seeks out accolades or the "limelight."  He is also very active in his parish, and many other charitable efforts in WNY.
