About the Board of Trustees
The St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Board of Trustees is the governing body of the school. The mission and purpose of the board includes:
  • Ensuring sound strategic planning
  • Monitoring the school's program and services
  • Ensuring adequate financial resources exist to fulfill the mission, purpose, and programs
  • Ensuring all resources are managed effectively
  • Selecting and evaluating the school's president
  • Assessing its own performance

The Board has between 12 and 30 members, with no more than 5 being Brothers of the Christian Schools and/or designees of the Provincial of the District of Eastern North America.

Serving on the Board of Trustees
St. Joe's seeks men and women for service on its Board of Trustees. Individuals must understand and promote the Lasallian mission and tradition of the school and commit to fulfill the responsibilities of board membership.  We believe each board member represents our community of excellence, therefore we seek involvement of individuals who have gained a measure of prominence within the community in which they live and work.
