Student Council

Student Council is a group of elected students who represent the St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute student body. Student Council is an advocate for all SJCI students, without regards to race, gender, or physical appearance as expressed in our LaSallian principles. Representatives will serve as a positive role model, leader and voice for the SJCI student population.

Students must be elected by their peers in order to be on Student Council. Student Council Members include: President (12th Grade), Vice-President (12th Grade), Treasurer (12th Grade), Secretary (11th grade), three Senior Class Representatives, three Junior Class Representatives, three Sophomore Class Representatives, and three Freshmen Class Representatives.

Throughout the school year, student council plans events that increase school spirit and morale. Student Council partners with the Principal and Vice Principal in order to facilitate these events. Elections for next year’s Student Council will be held at the end of the previous school year.  Freshman Representatives are elected in the fall.
