academic Excellence is just not in the classroom I think it's experiential I think it's getting our young students ready for that next level our internship program is something that is really setting New York I did an internship at I'll come over in Grand Island is a chemical engineering plan and they'll Sue at the chemical analysis and research and everything so that definitely sparked an interest in me and chemical engineer this summer I have an internship at Roswell Park preserving and labeling cancer cells like so they can be stored up for many years so they can be looked back up on St Joseph can prepare me for college so I want to get into a big college so I can be dr. Michael during my first internship was it how many Woodward Institute I was basically researching genomes and that evolutionary tree and I think the biggest thing I got out of that was how to collaborate with other Sciences in something that you can't always get in school it's something we work on a lot of San Jose where whether it's group projects or just collaborating with other students trying to figure out problems but get that in a real environment outside of school is really important to me I was at the Buffalo news for my internship with mr. Andrew Hatcher graduate of St Joe's who knew mr. Rollins really well and wanted to get back here show me around The Newsroom I got the shadow reporters Learning How The Newsroom ran book from the print aspect and a digital sign people who interact with the st. Joe's intern who the volunteers who come here always have great things to say about these kids is there just great young man they bring lots of energy and they bring us to a whole nother level my internship currently at computers for children is great I get to work with computers all day and the structure as well allows me to eat focus on certain things that I'm working on with a few of the more the IT specialist there the way it's structured and because of what I knew before going in I was able to get a lot more out than I ever thought that I could have which is also great and another option provided to me by st. Joe's so if you can imagine I'm sort of having I was yelling foundation with a real life work experience and showing people that you can have compassion can care you can run a business that's that's a pretty powerful combination
