Education: BA in Childhood and Middle Education, English concentration, and MS in Literacy, Niagara University

Mrs. Cortese is proud of the extra-curriculars that St. Joe’s students participate in, from service opportunities to clubs to sports. She views this as a way to grow and step outside of one’s comfort zone - a vital part of the growth of our students.
"Literacy is the fundamental element to any content area. Understanding how to read and write well, regardless of content area, helps us better understand our past, present, and future as individuals and a society. The more we read, the more we see the impact we can make on the world."
