Mark S. Zirnheld '78, CEO at Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Buffalo, was honored as a 2025 Buffalo Business First C-Level Award winner

Kevin T. Roland '98 was named to Buffalo Business First's 2025 Power 250 list at #189. 

Dean Penman, CEO of Seal & Design Inc., was honored as a 2025 Buffalo Business First C-Level Award winner.

David J. Nasca '75 was named to Buffalo Business First's 2025 Power 250 list at #143. 

A.J. Baynes '00 was named to Buffalo Business First's 2025 Power 250 list at #41. 

Geoff Thompson ‘92 recently accepted a position with Nordson as Sr. Sales Manager

Braden will be joining the firm of Roach Lennon & Brown PLLC as an Associate Attorney. Partners at the firm include St. Joe's graduates David L. Roach '69, J. Michael Lennon '92 (Board of Trustees), and Jack Dee '57.

Brendan Sweeney '98 was elected as a Town Councilmember for the Town of Stanley, NC.

After St. Joe's, Dr. Anthony 'Tony' Scarozza '84 went on to get his doctorate degree from UB in Micro Biology. He is retiring from teaching in June 2026. He will have completed 30 years as a Biology teacher for the Buffalo Public School at City Honors High School. The same time our son, Anthony Scarozza '26 will be graduating from St. Joe's.

Gino Bona was recently promoted to Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications at CACI International, a Fortune 500 national security company with 25,000 employees and $8.6 billion in annual revenue. He is responsible for leading marketing, advertising, public relations, creative services, internal communications, social media, events, trade shows, engagements, and philanthropic initiatives.

After 33.5 years as a math and computer science teacher, J is leaving the classroom to pursue work in the EdTech industry. He will be working for the NumWorks calculator company as a "Math Teacher in Residence" in the Pacific Northwest, with Portland, OR as his homebase. J's work will be primarily outreach, training, and sales. 

On January 14th, 2026, Kevin M. Stadelmaier, Esq. '94 was sworn in as the 39th President of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NYSACDL) for a one-year term. NYSACDL is a statewide organization of over 2,100 members dedicated to protecting the rights of the criminally accused. During his Presidency, Kevin will continue in his current role as First Deputy Defender-Criminal Division Chief of the Erie County Assigned Counsel Program in Buffalo, NY. 

William Holzerland '97 will be inducted into the National FOIA Hall of Fame this March, in recognition of his may years advocating for open government and transparency.

Matthew Braun '13 married Mary Brigante on October 18, 2025 in their new home state of Florida.

Michael Pesarchick '17 married Isabella Jankowski at Our Lady of Hope Church in Buffalo, on August 16, 2025.

Alumni Births

Brian '06 and Melissa Hayden announce the birth of their son Ian Gerald in October 2025.

Kevin '06 and Ashlyn LoVullo welcomed their son, Maverick Holden, on January 21, 2026. 

Michael '04 and Felicia Nanula became proud parents of Adriana Sofia Nanula in September 2025.
