We are incredibly proud of twin brother St. Joe's graduates, Daniel and Matthew Murray ’11, who took on the Buffalo Marathon this past weekend to raise awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Dan ran the race while pushing Matt in a race chair, crossing the finish line together in an inspiring time of 4:41:56.

On April 18, several St. Joe's alumni from a wide range of class years came together to volunteer at St. Luke's Mission of Mercy. Work projects included serving lunch to the guests, as well as removing stumps and beautifying the park for the local students and community members.

Congressman Tim Kennedy ’94 led the effort to rename the U.S. Post Office at 1200 William Street in Buffalo, N.Y., after William J. Donovan, through legislation passed by the House of Representatives.
Donovan, a decorated veteran, is widely known for his leadership during World War I and II and for founding the Office of Strategic Services, the precursor to the CIA. Kennedy emphasized that Donovan’s legacy extends beyond Western New York, reflecting a lifetime of bravery, leadership, and public service that continues to influence U.S. intelligence and national security today.

After 32 wonderful years as a music educator, including 28 years as Band Director at Boyd W. Arthurs Middle School in Trenton, Michigan, Peter has officially retired from teaching.
John's debut book, Working Dogs: Through the Lens of Love and Duty, comes out September 1st. It's the result of years spent photographing the relationships between dogs and humans across 24 countries.
There's a nice Buffalo tie-in: a portion of proceeds supports the therapy dog program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, where his brother Andrew '97, works as a physician. Although John is not living in Buffalo, I wanted to give back to the community that raised me.
Robert received his masters degree in international business management from Durham University in the UK. Started a new job as an associate program manager at Moog in their commercial aircraft group.
Adam is the Vice President of Hagner Industries. It is #23 of 37 fastest growing companies in 2026 Buffalo Business First Ranking. 22% compounding annual growth rate from 2022 to 2025.
Patrick creates golf content on social media, and what started as a hobby has now turned into a “full-time” part-time job. His brand, @3PuttPat, has grown to more than 80,000 followers across all platforms and nearly 90 million views over the past three years.
Joseph was recently promoted to EVP of Sales, Supply & Operations for NOCO Energy. He is also a member of NOCO Executive Committee and recently celebrated 38 years with NOCO.
Alex was recently appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees at Mount St. Mary Academy. In this role he will help to set strategic direction for the Mount as they celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2027 and into the future. Alex is the Senior Director of Advancement for the JCC of Greater Buffalo.
Jeffrey Kurtz-Lendner continues into his sixth year as the rabbi at Beth El Congregation in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He also serves as a volunteer chaplain for the Harrisonburg Police Department. Jeff and his wife Robin are the proud grandparents of a one year old granddaughter, Adina Cortes.
Father Joe continues to serve as a Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of Washington DC. He is presently assigned as parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle and offers Mass from time to time at St John's College High School, a Lasallian school in Washington.
Patrick was named regional music director and bandleader for Howl At The Moon.
Evan is serving as the Graduate Assistant Video Coach at Clarkson University for the Men's Hockey team.
This December, Brendan McKendry '22 graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science, Computer Science from John Carroll University. He has since begun his career with PC Connection as a VMware Business Development Specialist, and is living independently in Manchester, NH.
Michael Bauer '05 just finished filming season 1 of his family TV show, “Space Lightning” now streaming on Amazon Prime, and YippeeTV.
Brian Boeing '00 has been volunteering with Warrior Institute Whitewater Raft Guide Training in Trinity River, CA. AP biology students achieved 90% pass rate at Eureka High School.
John Warthling '17 took a promotion to manage the UK operations at Dave & Adam’s and moved to England this summer. John has now spent 3 years living in Europe.

In March of 2025, Christian decided to leave his job coaching in the NFL and moved back to WNY to begin his career as a real estate salesperson and real estate consultant, and couldn't be happier that he did. It's been amazing for Christian being able to connect with people and help them achieve their goal of homeownership.

Brendan Sweeney '98 was elected as a Town Councilmember for the Town of Stanley, NC.
After St. Joe's, Dr. Anthony 'Tony' Scarozza '84 went on to get his doctorate degree from UB in Micro Biology. He is retiring from teaching in June 2026. He will have completed 30 years as a Biology teacher for the Buffalo Public School at City Honors High School. The same time our son, Anthony Scarozza '26 will be graduating from St. Joe's.

Gino Bona was recently promoted to Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications at CACI International, a Fortune 500 national security company with 25,000 employees and $8.6 billion in annual revenue. He is responsible for leading marketing, advertising, public relations, creative services, internal communications, social media, events, trade shows, engagements, and philanthropic initiatives.
As of January 2026, J ended a 33.5 year career in teaching (he taught math in schools ranging from middle school through college level, as well as public and private institutions) and transitioned into working for NumWorks, Inc. It is a relatively new company that started a little over ten years ago and is selling a new type of graphing calculator. J gets to continue working with teachers in sharing this new technology, but in a different capacity than before.
On January 14th, 2026, Kevin M. Stadelmaier, Esq. '94 was sworn in as the 39th President of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NYSACDL) for a one-year term. NYSACDL is a statewide organization of over 2,100 members dedicated to protecting the rights of the criminally accused. During his Presidency, Kevin will continue in his current role as First Deputy Defender-Criminal Division Chief of the Erie County Assigned Counsel Program in Buffalo, NY.
William Holzerland '97 will be inducted into the National FOIA Hall of Fame this March, in recognition of his may years advocating for open government and transparency.
