What is a School Social Worker?
St. Joe's employs a full-time social worker, a trained mental health professional who assists with mental health concerns, behavior concerns, positive behavioral support and academic/classroom support. School social workers counsel students individually and in groups, and consult with teachers, parents, administrators and outside resources to make sure the student is receiving the support they need.
