College Counseling, Designed Around the Individual

A Personalized Path to College Success

Every student’s path to college looks a little different, and that’s exactly how it should be.
As students grow and change, we pay attention and adjust our support to meet them where they are. Our goal isn’t to push every student toward the same outcome. It’s to help each student build the strongest path based on who they are.

Finding Your Path

No two students are the same. Some come in knowing what they want, while others are still figuring it out, and that’s exactly how it should be. We help them move forward at a pace that feels right, so over time their path begins to take shape.

As they settle into high school, we stay connected and support them as they go. With time and practice, they grow more confident, find their rhythm and begin to see what fits.

Our Approach

At St. Joe’s, our college counseling process is a structured, relationship-based one that begins early and builds over time.

It’s Personal - Students meet individually with our college counselor throughout high school, so guidance is tailored to who he is and where he’s headed.

Families Are Part of the Process - Parent nights begin sophomore year, helping families understand the process, key timelines and how to support your son.

College Exploration Is Ongoing - Students explore colleges firsthand, while our counselor visits 20+ campuses each year to stay current on admissions, culture and fit.

The Path To College

College preparation doesn’t start senior year, it starts on day one at St. Joe's. Here’s how we guide students each step of the way.

Annual College Fair

Every September, students from local private high schools are invited to St. Joe's to connect with representatives from colleges and universities from around the country.

We host this free event as a way for families to learn about colleges' academic and athletic programs, get helpful financial aid information and ask questions directly to admissions professionals.
