Toward 150 Years of Lasallian Tradition at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute God has truly blessed me. For the past 37 years, I have been honored to serve as an educator, vice principal, and now as President/Principal of the finest Catholic high school for young men in Western New York.
As you step onto our campus at 845 Kenmore Avenue, you can sense the excitement and anticipation as we build a new Cullen Center for Excellence in Science and a new residence for the Brothers of the Christian Schools - both scheduled for completion in fall 2009. Additionally, the new All-Weather Athletic Field Complex - on our own campus - includes turf fields and a new all-weather running track. These new athletic facilities will ensure that St. Joe's maintains a "home" advantage for all field sporting events. All of these changes are indeed exciting and will help us prepare the young men at St. Joe's for lives of accomplishment and service in the Catholic Lasallian tradition.
As I look forward to 2011 and to the 150th Anniversary of St. Joe’s, I see an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate our long history - by ensuring a strong future for St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and the generations of young men who will benefit from the work and commitment we show today.
Together, we carry on the mission of the Christian Brothers and St. John Baptist de La Salle.
