Welcome to St. Joe's

From our President :

I am so very proud to have been present in our school when we celebrated our 150th anniversary last year.  The events of this past year allowed us to mark, very clearly, an historic epoch of excellence in Catholic, college preparatory, Lasallian education!

Though the faces have changed throughout the years, our mission has not - rather, it has become even stronger as we welcome all qualified students to our school.  Since being founded by six Christian Brothers in 1861, St. Joe's has provided a broad and balanced, human and Christian education, designed to nurture each student's unique talents and foster a commitment to leadership and service.

At St. Joe's, we call this "educating the whole student."  Our educators look beyond the classroom and teach their students not only how to achieve  their academic goals, but how to become better people, how to become "gentlemen of integrity."  An education at St. Joe's instills lifelong values, lasting friendships, and continued commitment to the community.

Today, more than ever, we have been able to provide the opportunities to ensure success for all of our students.  This includes a new state-of-the-art Cullen Center for Excellence in Science, a new All-Weather Athletic Field complex and Field House, and the Cullen Center for the Arts.  We have also recently been able to provide a new residence for our Christian Brothers who live on campus, assuring their presence with us for many, many more years to come.

Our 150th anniversary was a great accomplishment.  Personally, I am honored to have been a part of the Lasasllian Mission at St. Joe's for 41 years.  I invite you to help us to begin the next 150 years by visiting our campus and experiencing St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute for yourself!
