The St. Joe's soccer program is relatively new, but has developed into a very successful program. The Christian Brother's opened the doors of the school in 1861 and it was not until 1978 (117 years) that soccer became a varsity sport at the school.

Since the soccer program at St. Joe's began play 34 years ago, the Marauders have enjoyed a great deal of success. Our overall record during this time frame is 432-115-38. Over this 34 year period, St. Joe's has won the league regular season title 21 times. They have also won the league play-off title 18 times, which has lead to 18 visits to the Catholic State Championships. The Marauders claimed their only state title in 1995.

In the fall of 1996 the Christian Brother's soccer tournament began competition. This began as a gathering of 4 brother schools playing 2 games each over a weekend. It currently is played over Labor Day weekend, with 6 schools from the northeast gathering for a weekend full of soccer and fellowship. St. Joe's has been named champion of the Brother's tournament 5 times, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2007 and  2008.

Since its inception the soccer program has been very fortunate to have outstanding young men be participants. St. Joe's has had more than is fair share of players named to the All-Catholic team, as well as, the All-WNY and All-State teams. Because of the caliber of these players the soccer program at St. Joe's has had an average season of 13-3-1 and only had one losing season in 34years.
