Collegiate Summer! is a four-week program designed exclusively for students entering their 8th grade year. By participating in Collegiate Summer! 8th graders get a chance to experience St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and develop skills that will be useful as they prepare for high school. The program runs for the month of July from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The morning session features a range of academic subjects including English/Language Arts, Math, Computer Technology and Science with an emphasis on enrichment, basic skills practice and hands-on learning. Afternoon activities include sports such as soccer, football, basketball, dodgeball, street hockey, and softball as well as non-athletic offerings including board games, movies, art and computer activities. In addition, a schedule of guest speakers, entertainers and optional field trips is also offered. The cost of the program is $425 with additional fees required for field trips.
