Parents' Guild Events

As a parent or guardian of an SJCI student, we welcome all new and existing parents to the SJCI Parents' Guild.  

The Parent's Guild organizes bimonthly meetings, open for all parents to attend, guest speakers, supports school events (class liturgies, open house, back to school nights), and assists with teacher recognition, graduate liturgy, and school social events. These activities allow all parents to connect with others, share experiences or ideas, and learn about school news and upcoming St. Joe's events. 

We are here to help parents engage and enjoy their St. Joe's experience and look forward to an exciting school year.

Guest speakers will be announced three weeks prior to each meeting
All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m., and all parents are invited to attend.

Listed below are some of the Parents' Guild events.

Back to School Night - Sept. 14, 2023

Parents attend their sons' classes, meet their teachers, and learn about the class work. Please stop by the Parents' Guild tent party for some updates and to meet other parents.

Open House - Oct. 15-16, 2023

Parents assist in greeting prospective students and their parents, hosting the refreshment area, etc. during this display of the best of SJCI. Parent volunteers will also be called upon to give tours to prospective families.

Sports Night - Athletic Fundraiser- Nov. 17, 2023

This annual event raises significant funds for the special needs of the SJCI Athletic Department. Food and beverages are served. A raffle and silent auction are conducted during the evening.  Learn more at https://www.sjci.com/apps/pages/sportsnight .

Liturgies

Each member of the class is invited to bring his entire family to SJCI for a special celebration of the Liturgy. Families contribute continental breakfast foods and the Guild hosts a social after Mass.

• Junior (Liturgy includes Junior Ring Ceremony): December 3, 2023

Teacher Recognition

This committee shows the faculty and staff our appreciation throughout the school year throughout the school year with thoughtful tokens and special celebrations. Volunteers will be contacted to bake or send in other treats.

Mother/Son Social - February 3, 2024

The committee organizes a very special dinner dance for the St. Joe's moms and their sons - a touching and lively evening.

Mother/Son Liturgy/Breakfast - February 11, 2024

A very touching celebration of the Mass is followed by a continental breakfast served by the fathers.

Father/Son Liturgy - March 3, 2024

A celebration of the Liturgy for fathers and their sons sponsored by the SJCI Alumni.

Baccalaureate Liturgy - Thursday, May 14, 2024

A special liturgy for seniors and their parents. Refreshments are offered to conclude the evening social.
